The Fire Service in the United Kingdom is provided by 62 autonomous brigades. Of these 13 support a Brigade Search & Rescue Unit, each of which contribute personnel and equipment to the United Kingdom Fire Service Search & Rescue Team. On this page are links to information about individual brigade teams. Additional information and links are provided to Her Majesty's Fire Service Inspectorate (HMFSI), who maintain a co-ordinating role and provide a management link to both the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) and the Department of International Development (DFID), and the London Fire & Civil Defence Authority's Command Support Centre (CSC) who provide mobilising and communication facilities. |
